Hay Festival Performance

A sell out event at Hay Festival last Saturday evening, where I read the opening from my metafictional work in progress, a dual timeline Cold-War/present-day thriller.

Metafiction is a narrative technique occasionally used by many famous novelists, where the narrator tells a story about the story – think Phoebe Waller-Bridge directly addressing the viewer in “Fleabag.” In acting parle’- she ‘Broke the Fourth Wall’!

In the case of my novel, a young Australian documentary film maker describes her terrifying ordeal in her attempt to save millions  lives.
