Yesterday, I was informed of my 2nd prize in the Francis Copping Memorial Prize for Fiction
for my anthropomorphic short story: ‘Empty Seat’.
Judge, Dr Carolyn Lewis stated: ‘this is an intriguing story with an unusual narrator. The descriptive passages work well and I found the writing visual and engaging.’
And unusual for me, with not a single corpse in sight!
This image taken on one of my walking loops inspired my story.
